Class of 2008 Commissioned
On June 16, 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Jude in St. Petersburg, 26 members of the Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute were commissioned in an Evening Prayer service. Bishop Robert Lynch was the celebrant. The commissioning was the culmination of a four year formation process. Those who were commissioned and their respective parishes are:

The Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute offers a four-year program of formation for lay ministers who serve in the diocese. The program is accredited by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation.
